Starvation and malnourishment remain a barrier to attaining sustainable development. Food is directly related to the body, and also a person's mental and social health because each food or liquid contains particular nutrients, which are all necessary for physical and mental growth. According to a report by the United Nations and the Ministry of Statistics nearly one-third (31.4%) of the children below five years of age in India will be stunted and underweight by 2022. According to the government think tank NITI Aayog, merely 9% of infants in India, children between 6 to 24 months of age, receive proper nutrition.
