The coding that enables a website to work is referred to as web development. Generally, there are two main divisions of web development: front-end and back-end. The front-end is a client-side component of an application which determines how a website will be displayed according to the design provided by the designer. On the other hand, the back-end or server-side part of an application concerns itself with data management in the database as well as feeding this information to the front-end so that it can be displayed there.
